Between December 2007 and March 2008, Kenya teetered on the brink of civil war following disputed election results. Tourists abandoned the country and by July 2008 many tracks in game reserves had become overgrown through lack of use. Our 2008 Kenya Road Trip took place against this background. Follow us on a remarkable visual journey of over 2000 miles around a country in a state of shock. We went to Kenya, as always, to photograph wildlife but along the way we witnessed what happens when a country implodes. We met and spoke to Kenyan people and learned the remarkable truth behind the rapid escalation of violence that shocked Africa's most cultured country to the core. Whilst the bulk of this presentation concentrates on the amazing variety in the five different major game reserves we visited and the unbelievable close encounters we had with wildlife, this is interspersed with images and anecdotes which remind the viewer of the lives of the Kenyan people we met on our travels.
