Terms and Conditions

When booking our Photographic Experiences please take note of the following terms and conditions
Deposits and Payments
Deposits and payments for our services are non-refundable due to the high preparation costs of organisation and facilities/third party contractor booking commitments. Your place on an event can only be guaranteed with the cleared payment of the required deposit and subsequent balance payment within the deadline, or payment in full at the time of booking. Balances for all photographic experiences requiring deposits are due to be paid no later than 60 days before the start date if UK-based and 90 days before the start date if overseas. In exceptional circumstances, should you require to cancel your booking before the final balance deadline, we will attempt to re-sell the space. Only if we are able to re-sell the space at the full price before the balance deadline can a deposit be refunded. Services which require full payment are likewise non-refundable. If any balance payment has not been received by the deadline, we reserve the right to re-sell any spaces where the balance has not been paid.  However, if we are advised before the deadline of a possible delay in a balance payment, we will try to be flexible, within reason. We would not wish someone to miss out because their pay day happens to fall a couple of days after the deadline but please advise us as far in advance as possible if you think you will need additional time to pay.

Our Responsibilities
Every one of our Photographic Experiences is carefully researched to ensure the best possible service, including pre-event reconnaisance of locations, liaison with accommodation, location, transport and studio providers and models. A full risk assessment is carried out for each event. We will endeavour to provide every opportunity for you to get the most from our photographic experiences. However, we cannot be held responsible for circumstances outwith our control. Extremes of weather, transport delays and similar issues can occasionally impact on the formats and timetables but we are commmitted to providing the best service we can and we will have in place plans to adjust formats and timetables wherever possible to ensure such problems have the least impact possible on the service provided. In exceptionally extreme circumstances, this may include using equally suitable alternative locations or in the case of a model being unable to fulfil his/her duties, a replacement model of equal experience and status. We will send out a pdf brochure to everyone booked on any event with detailed information of locations, itinerary, suggested equipment and safety advice etc to ensure you are as prepared as possible to get the most from your Photographic Experience. We also request information from participants on any health issues or allergies/dietary requirements that may affect their ability to take part in any portion of an event and will agree suitable alternatives, where possible, to ensure that the quality of the service is the same, regardless of someone's ability to undertake all of the activities in the main itinerary.

Your Responsibilities
People attending any of our Photographic Experiences should ensure that they have adequate insurance cover for themselves and their photographic equipment. It is the responsibility of everyone attending our events to pay attention carefully to any safety information given by the instructors and to ensure they fully understand the advice. People attending our Kenyan Photographic Safari Experiences are required to ensure that they are fully vaccinated in line with current Government advice against any potential diseases from visiting Kenya, have adequate anti-malarial prophylaxis for the duration of the trip and have sufficient holiday, personal and equipment insurance to cover any eventuality or loss. In addition, we recommend taking out "Flying Doctor Insurance", which guarantees speedy evacuation by air ambulance to a modern hospital from remote areas in the event of accident or illness. On photographic experiences featuring models, the models must be treated with the utmost respect at all times. There must be no physical contact with the models and no photographs taken that would exceed the models' normal restrictions on nudity/levels of explicitness. All of the models we book for our Photographic Experiences are top professional art models and must be treated with the respect they deserve. If a participant's behaviour is making a model feel uncomfortable, we reserve the right to remove that participant from the event. In the event of such removal, no refund or partial refund will be given.

Disclaimer
PhotoClassic, its agents, employees and contractors cannot be held responsible for any loss or injury occurring during our Photographic Experiences unless such loss or injury occurs directly through the negligence or recklessness of PhotoClassic, its agents, employees and contractors. Persons attending our events do so at their own risk, in full knowledge that they may be travelling over difficult terrain, possibly in adverse weather conditions. It is the responsibility of each individual to ensure that they are properly equipped for such conditions, in line with the advice given in the event brochure and by instructors on the day and that they take adequate precautions to protect themselves and their possessions from injury, loss or damage throughout the duration of the event. Instructors may, at their discretion, refuse to allow participation in any part of an event if they feel that an individual is inadequately equipped for their own safety or behaving in a way that the instructors deem could put themselves or others at risk. In the event of such refusal, no refund or partial refund will be given.
